How To Cook Chowking's Chowfan At Home
Chowfan one of Chowking's most popular items on its menu has garnered quite a following because of it's combination of flavorful taste and very affordable price. It is basically an oriental fried rice which is composed of grounded beef or pork with bits of sausage mixed with rice sauteed in different kinds of spices and vegetables. Many have requested for it's secret recipe and so I tried on my own to recreate it's original taste and flavor. Through countless of trial and error here it is my very own Chowking Chowfan Recipe.
Chowking Chowfan Chow Fan Recipe How TO Cook Pinoy Easy Ingredients Secret Tutorial Chowking Philippines Authentic Original
Try this recipe at the comforts of you home.
Ingredients we need:
2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 medium sized bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup carrots finely chopped
1/4 cup ground beef or ground chicken meat or breakfast sausage finely chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp curry powder
6-8 cups cooked rice
2 tsp chopped spring onion(sibuyas dahon)
2 eggs beaten
3 tbsp oil
Step by Step Cooking Procedures:
1.) In a pan pour-in the oil and saute the chopped garlic until golden brown. Make sure that your fire set on medium heat.
2. Place the chopped onions on the pan and mixed thoroughly.
3. Add-in the meat (beef or chicken or sausage) or a mix of both its up to you. Stir until the meat is cooked.
4. Add-in those with diced bell peppers, carrots, salt and pepper and continue to mix thoroughly for about 2 minutes.
5. Add-in the chili powder and the curry powder and continue to mix the ingredients thoroughly so that that flavor is well distributed for about 2 minutes.
6. Then Add-in the cooked rice them mix until the rice turned slightly brown. A minute or two would be enough.
7. After that add-in the eggs then mix thoroughly for about a minute until well distributed.
8. Topped it all up with the chopped spring onions before serving.
9. You're finished! Serve hot and Enjoy.
